Questions

The ones we actually get asked.

Including the awkward ones. If an answer here talks you out of buying it, it has done its job.

Should I buy it

Will it replace my vacuum?

No, and we'd rather say that here than in a return. It's for gaps, vents, keyboards and car interiors. Your floors still need the big one.

Why is it more than a portable vacuum?

Because it isn't one. A cheap handheld does suction only. This runs both directions at once on a brushless motor, comes with seven attachments, and carries a two-year replacement warranty. If you only need suction, buy the cheaper thing — genuinely.

Is it worth it if I don't have a car?

Less obviously, yes. Desk and camera people get plenty out of it, but the car is where it earns its price back fastest. If you have neither a car nor a desk setup, it's probably a nice-to-have rather than a need.

How is it different from the cheaper ones online?

Mechanically, less than the marketing suggests — a lot of these come off similar production lines. What differs is that we publish what it can't do, stock every part separately, replace failures for two years, and you can find out who sold it to you. That's the honest answer.

Using it

Is it safe around electronics and cameras?

Yes — it moves air, nothing touches the surface, which is exactly why air is used on camera gear rather than a brush. We wouldn't put it straight onto a bare sensor at full power; drop the dial and keep some distance.

How long does the battery last?

35 minutes at full speed, considerably longer eased off. Charges over USB-C.

Is it loud?

At full speed, yes. A brushless motor at this speed moving this much air makes noise, and anything this size claiming to be quiet isn't moving much air. Ease it down for close work.

Can I use it on liquids?

No. Dry debris only — no liquids, no hot ash, nothing still plugged in.

Looking after it

How do I clean the filter?

Rinse under a tap, let it dry completely — properly completely — and refit. A damp filter chokes the airflow and feels like a fault.

How often do I replace it?

When washing stops bringing the airflow back. For most people that's a long way off. Spares are stocked in twos.

Can I buy spare parts?

Every part on its own — each attachment, the filter, the dust collector — for as long as we make the tool. You never replace the whole thing over a lost nozzle.

The question under all the others

Do you actually need one?

Probably not, in the way you need a fridge. But you know the gap beside the car seat, and the crumbs under the keys, and the vent you've never once cleaned. That's the whole pitch, and we'd rather it stood on its own.
